Thai media points out a major issue for their team after the draw with Kuwait

Thai outlets voiced frustration over the "War Elephants" 2-2 tie against Kuwait, stating that the squad was not concentrated enough and could not hold onto their advantage after taking the lead.

Thai media had a notable reaction after the team Thailand drew 2-2 with Kuwait in a FIFA Day friendly, which exposed several issues in their playing style under coach Anthony Hudson.

According to Thairath, the match at Pathum Thani Stadium witnessed an "emotional rollercoaster" for the Thai national team. Although the "War Elephants" led at times and controlled the game, they failed to maintain their edge and had to settle for a disappointing 2-2 draw.

Thailand only managed a draw against Kuwait

Thailand's goals came from Seksan Ratree in the 42nd minute and Krisada Kaman in first-half stoppage time (45+4), giving them a big advantage before halftime. However, in the second half, Kuwait fought back strongly with goals from Naser Jasar (48th minute) and Eid Al Rashidi (69th minute), leveling the match.

Thairath stated that Thailand's biggest problem lies in maintaining concentration throughout the full 90 minutes. The defense repeatedly left gaps in the second half, allowing Kuwait to exploit them and score.

Furthermore, Thai media argued that coach Anthony Hudson's team still lacks consistency in their tactical execution. Although they had periods of good play, a lack of sharpness in final moves prevented Thailand from finishing the game earlier.

Some opinions from Thai experts suggest this serves as an important warning ahead of upcoming matches, especially when the "War Elephants" will play away against China in the next friendly. Failing to hold a lead against Kuwait shows the team still has plenty of work to do if they want to achieve bigger goals.

Thairath concluded that this draw is not only a regrettable result but also a real test of Thailand's ambition and stability under the new coach, particularly as the team is in a phase of experimenting with lineups and tactics.
