Milan puts star player up for sale at €50M, cash only. The Premier League's two red clubs have yet to act, but a Turkish giant has already made contact.

Serie A is becoming less and less interesting. Italian football and the league have completely lagged behind. To become a genuine superstar, a player must leave their comfort zone. Perhaps the collaboration between the fallen giant AC Milan and Leao was an error, damaging both sides, and parting ways is the wisest decision.

Per the latest report from Italian media *La Gazzetta dello Sport*, AC Milan has placed a €50 million price tag on Leao, ready to sell if the money is offered—a figure equal to the player's Transfermarkt value.

The Italian outlet states that Milan will have no Champions League football next season, making a rebuild unavoidable. The club needs to offload its star Leao to refresh the squad, while Leao himself must leave his comfort zone to reignite his drive. The €175 million release clause is merely a number; Milan knows that given Leao's 2025-26 season stats—10 goals and 3 assists in 31 appearances—it's hard to fetch a high price, making €50 million a reasonable sum. Currently, Turkish powerhouse Galatasaray has reached out to Leao, offering a massive contract worth €10 million annually. However, Leao's priority is a move to the Premier League, but neither Manchester United nor Arsenal have acted yet. United is waiting to see if Rashford leaves, while Arsenal does want to reinforce the left-wing position.

In my view, Leao is 26 years old, in his prime. He shares the same issue as Rashford: to become a true star, he must fight hard and play with more effort. Leaving the comfort zone of Serie A is indeed the right move; continuing at such a slow pace will ruin him. The Premier League would be an excellent option.
