Patrick Dorgu demonstrates that he is more than just a versatile player; he can excel in various positions.

After impressing in the Manchester United shirt as left wing-back, left-back, and even left midfielder under coach Michael Carrick, the Danish player has recently surprised experts by shining in a new position.
A new turning point came in the friendly match between Denmark and Ukraine. Although the match was paused due to a health incident involving Christian Eriksen (who is now stable), Dorgu still left a strong impression.
The Man United star scored a beautiful goal by starting from the right wing, cutting inside onto his favored left foot, before unleashing a powerful shot from outside the box.
Ukraine made a mistake by giving Dorgu too much space. Immediately, the player born in 2004 unleashed a cannonball that left the opposing goalkeeper no time to react, the ball drilled straight into the top corner. This goal reminded many of the legendary Arjen Robben's style, with his runs from the right wing finishing with his left foot.
Dorgu's continuous adaptation to various positions is opening up more options for coach Michael Carrick. Previously, the Danish player was best known as a left wing-back. However, last season he was often pushed up to play as a winger and produced positive results.
Now, his ability to operate on the right flank as an 'inside forward' has also become a viable option. Dorgu idolized Eden Hazard as a child, so his good adaptation to attacking positions is not too surprising. With speed, abundant stamina, and good dribbling skills, he can make a difference in many areas of the pitch.
Although he is becoming increasingly versatile, experts believe Dorgu does not necessarily have to be fixed in a specific role. His greatest strength lies in his ability to meet various tactical requirements depending on the opponent.
When Manchester United needs to increase their attacking power, Dorgu can play behind players like Matheus Cunha or push forward as a winger. Conversely, against strong opponents, he can become an effective defensive solution thanks to his robust physical foundation and good defensive support.
Of course, Dorgu's recent explosive scoring form is hard to sustain forever. However, the greatest value the 21-year-old brings lies not in spectacular goals, but in his rare tactical flexibility.
With Michael Carrick, having a player who can perform well at left-back, wing-back, left winger, and right winger is a huge advantage in building Manchester United for the new season. Dorgu is gradually proving that he could become one of the Red Devils' most important tactical cards in the near future.
