Coach Park Hang Seo is alongside the South Korean squad for the FIFA World Cup 2026 campaign, serving as the Team Support Director and Vice President of the KFA.
In this role, Mr. Park is responsible for overall management to provide maximum support to the coaching staff and players during their preparation and participation in the tournament.
Specifically, the former head coach of the Vietnam national team acts as a bridge between the KFA, the coaching staff, and the players; he also handles coordination, resolves logistical issues, and provides moral support to the entire team ahead of the World Cup.

Mr. Park's goal is to help the South Korean team realize their ambition of reaching the World Cup quarterfinals, a milestone that Korean football has not achieved since the 2002 World Cup on home soil.
At the 2026 FIFA World Cup, South Korea is in Group A alongside the Czech Republic, South Africa, and host nation Mexico. Coach Kim Sang Sik's team is expected to advance further than in recent World Cups.
Recently, Coach Park Hang Seo also shared a photo taken with the South Korean team at the 2026 World Cup on social media, attracting significant attention from fans in both Vietnam and South Korea.
After concluding his journey with the South Korean team at the 2026 World Cup, Coach Park Hang Seo will take on the position of head coach of Thailand's Kanchanaburi Power FC.
The South Korean manager has signed a two-year contract with the club. His most important goal is to help Kanchanaburi earn promotion to Thai League 1.
"Although I received offers from many countries, including Vietnam, the reason I chose Thailand is clear. This is a path where no one has truly succeeded yet," shared Park Hang Seo.
He added: "Kanchanaburi's long-term vision and sincerity toward football ignited in me the spirit of taking on a new challenge. With the responsibility of representing South Korean football, I will give my utmost effort as a coach in Thailand, Vietnam, and the Southeast Asian region."
