The Thai women's national team won the AYA Bank Tri-Nations Cup 2026 following a 1-1 draw with host Myanmar, stretching their unbeaten streak to ten games in a row.

The Thai women's team concluded an impressive campaign at the AYA Bank Tri-Nations Cup 2026 international friendly tournament with a convincing championship. Despite being held to a draw by host Myanmar in the final match, the "War Elephants" still achieved their objectives thanks to an unbeaten record and consistent performances throughout the competition.

Entering the clash against Myanmar, the Thai women's team held a significant advantage after a narrow victory over Uzbekistan in the previous match. With a higher FIFA ranking and a stronger squad, the team coached by Natipong Sritong-In proactively took control of the game, determined to secure a positive result to guarantee the title.

For most of the first half, Thailand dominated the game with better ball possession. Their combinations through the middle and attacks down the flanks repeatedly put pressure on Myanmar's goal. However, a lack of finishing touch prevented the visitors from converting clear-cut chances into goals.

Just when the momentum was in their favor, Thailand received a shock early in the second half. In the 50th minute, Htet Lu May capitalized on a scramble inside the box to open the scoring for Myanmar. Nonetheless, the composure of Southeast Asia's most decorated team quickly showed, as only five minutes later, Thawanrat Promthongmee equalized with a precise strike to make it 1-1.

The remaining time saw relentless efforts from the Thai players as they searched for a winning goal. The visitors continuously increased the pressure and created several notable opportunities. However, Myanmar's solid defense and a shot that hit the post denied Thailand from adding another goal.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw, a result sufficient for the Thai women's team to claim the AYA Bank Tri-Nations Cup 2026 title.
