On June 9, Labor Hero and Vietnamese women's football head coach Mai Đức Chung, together with a delegation, traveled to Minh Hòa commune, where he contributed 40 million VND of his own money to aid social security efforts and promote grassroots football in the area.
Joining the delegation were Mr. Hà Quang Dự, former Central Committee member, former Minister and Chairman of the National Sports Committee; Mr. Đào Tiến Cường, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; along with leaders of the sports division of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, as well as philanthropists, organizations, and individuals. On this occasion, the groups and individuals in the delegation also donated to the Minh Hòa Commune Scholarship Fund.

Receiving and working with the delegation were Mr. Lê Trọng Quảng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Commune People's Committee; Mr. Đỗ Quốc Dân, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; along with the Standing Committee of the People's Council, leaders of the People's Committee, specialized departments, public service units, and several local enterprises.
This meaningful activity demonstrates care and sharing for social welfare, educational encouragement, and the development of sports and physical education in the locality.
During the program, Phú Cường Cooperative also donated 15 million VND to the Minh Hòa Commune Scholarship Fund. The joint efforts of organizations, businesses, and individuals help spread a spirit of compassion, encourage learning and physical training, thereby improving the quality of human resources in the area.

Coach Mai Đức Chung is a "living legend" of Vietnamese women's football, having led the women's team to six SEA Games gold medals, a 2019 AFF Cup championship, and a fourth-place finish at the 2014 Asian Games. The pinnacle of his career was guiding the Vietnamese women's team to qualify for the 2023 Women's World Cup. He also brought Vietnamese women's football to the world's biggest football festival for the first time.
At the age of 77, Coach Mai Đức Chung boasts a brilliant coaching career with numerous titles, medals, certificates of merit, and the prestigious title of Labor Hero.
After leaving the Vietnamese women's team, he is now enjoying a peaceful life with his wife, Mrs. Ngọc Uyển, at their home on Ngọc Hà Street (Hanoi).
