Former Everton talent reportedly reaches agreement to join CAHN. The deal promises to help the V.League champions increase squad depth for the 2026/27 season.
Forward David Henen Boris Philippe is likely to leave Da Nang FC to join Cong An Ha Noi FC (CAHN) ahead of the 2026/27 season.
According to sources from Bóng Đá Plus, David Henen and CAHN have reached important agreements. If there are no last-minute changes, the striker born in 1996 will become a new recruit of the police team immediately after the current season ends.
After a successful season winning the V.League 2025/26 title, CAHN is actively upgrading its squad to prepare for a packed schedule next season. Besides the V.League, coach Mano Polking's team will also participate in the National Cup, National Super Cup, Shopee Cup, and a play-off for a spot in the AFC Champions League Elite. Therefore, adding an experienced striker like David Henen is seen as a necessary step to increase squad depth.
David Henen is no stranger to European football. Born in Belgium but holding Togolese nationality, he was once regarded as a promising young player during his time at Everton's academy from 2015 to 2018. Additionally, the striker has played for several European clubs such as Grenoble, KV Kortrijk, and Tobol FC.
At the international level, David Henen has represented Belgium's youth teams from U15 to U19 before making appearances for the Togo national team. Joining Da Nang last season, David Henen played 21 matches and scored 3 goals. Although his goal-scoring record is not outstanding, the 30-year-old forward is highly regarded for his physical foundation, wide-ranging activity, and international experience.
If the deal is completed, David Henen will become one of the notable additions for CAHN in their journey to defend the V.League title and conquer regional competitions in the 2026/27 season.
