Brazilian midfielder speaks emotionally as he officially dons the Vietnam national team jersey

Nguyen Tai Loc: "Putting on the Vietnam national team shirt is a unique milestone in my life."

Ahead of the Vietnam national team's afternoon training session on June 25 at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center, newcomer Nguyen Tai Loc shared heartfelt thoughts during his first call-up to the national squad. "This is a special moment in my life, so I am extremely happy. Right now, I'm just focusing on each day to give my best effort," Nguyen Tai Loc said.

The Ninh Binh Club striker said he quickly adapted to the national team environment thanks to having previously played alongside many teammates at the club level. "The national team is a very united group. I've played with many players here, so adapting has been quite easy. Now I just focus on training and try to contribute the best I can to the team."

When asked about his goals for this training camp, Nguyen Tai Loc stated that he wants to make the most of every training session to improve himself and contribute to the team. "My goal is very simple: to play well, strive every day, and become better," he said.

Nguyen Tai Loc also shared that the presence of Nguyen Xuan Son and Do Hoang Hen helped him feel more confident during his first gathering with the team. "I've known Son and Hen for a long time. We often talk to each other about the national team, so everything became easier. We will train and fight together to help the team achieve the best results."

Sharing his family's emotions, the 31-year-old striker said: "My family is very happy. They also love Vietnam very much. This place is like my second home, and I will always try to do the best for Vietnam." Assessing the current squad, Nguyen Tai Loc believes it is a highly professional group with many experienced players and promising young talents.

"The team is very strong, with many good young players. I've played alongside Quang Hai, Hoang Duc, Viet Anh, and many other teammates, so integrating has been smoother," Tai Loc said.
