Manchester City's first summer signing! Record-breaking £130m deal for 23-year-old England international, new Premier League record transfer fee

On June 26, renowned journalist Romano announced with his signature "Here we go" that Manchester City have successfully signed Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliott Anderson.

Elliott Anderson himself has submitted a transfer request to Nottingham Forest. After lengthy negotiations, the two clubs have reached an agreement. The 23-year-old England international becomes Manchester City's first signing of the summer.

The medical will take place on Friday in the United States. Manchester City are working hard to complete the signing of the 23-year-old Nottingham Forest midfielder before England's World Cup match against Panama.

It is understood that Elliott Anderson's transfer fee could reach up to £130 million, which would break the Premier League transfer record set last year when Liverpool signed Isak.

At the latest exchange rate, £130 million is equivalent to €151 million, while Liverpool's fee for Isak last year was €144 million. This marks the third time in the last two seasons that the Premier League's all-time transfer record has been broken.

Currently 23 years old, Elliott Anderson is valued at €75 million on German website Transfermarkt. Last season, he played 50 matches for Nottingham Forest, contributing 4 goals and 5 assists.

He has also been included in England's 26-man squad for the World Cup. He started both of England's first two group matches. In the opening 4-2 win over Croatia, Elliott Anderson played the full 90 minutes and delivered an impressive performance.
