Marlon Rangel is not a unfamiliar face to Vietnamese football fans. He previously played for Binh Dinh before moving to SHB Da Nang.

During his time with the "Land of Vo" team, the 1996-born center-back was highly regarded for his physique, battling ability, and playing experience. This was also the period when he left the strongest impression in V.League.

His stint with SHB Da Nang did not go as expected. Marlon showed limitations in speed and maneuverability before parting ways with the Han River club.

Marlon Rangel's impending return shows that V.League clubs still value the experience and understanding of Vietnamese football environment that the Brazilian center-back possesses.
