Vietnamese center-back who once played at the World Cup and the most special journey in V-League

Having participated in the U20 World Cup, Huỳnh Tấn Sinh has experienced a special journey with 4 championships and many different clubs, but still carries the desire to return to the Vietnam national team.

Huỳnh Tấn Sinh, a name that once appeared at the 2017 U20 World Cup with the Vietnam U20 team, possesses one of the most unique career journeys in today's V-League, where glory, failure, and turning points constantly intertwine.

As a member of the Vietnam U19 generation that reached the 2016 AFC U19 Championship semifinals, thereby earning a spot at the U20 World Cup, Tấn Sinh was early expected to become a pillar of Vietnamese football. It didn't take long for him to be promoted to Quảng Nam's first team when he was only 19 years old and immediately got his hands on the V-League championship first in his career.

However, the journey of the 1998-born center-back quickly took many unexpected turns. After just a few seasons, Quảng Nam was relegated to the First Division, forcing Tấn Sinh to go through a challenging period with his hometown club. In that situation, he still persevered in playing, before opening new, more emotional chapters in his career.

The turning point came in 2022 when Tấn Sinh joined Hà Nội on loan. There, he continued to enjoy the feeling of winning the V-League, affirming his value as an experienced center-back despite not being a media standout.

Not stopping there, the 2023 season witnessed a rare milestone when Tấn Sinh moved to play for Công An Hà Nộiand once again won the V-League, thereby becoming one of the few players to have won this league with two different clubs in a short period.

The decision to play in the First Division opened a new chapter in Tấn Sinh's career

In the 2024/25 season, he decided to change direction and play in the First Division for Bình Phước (now Trường Tươi Đồng Nai). This decision once caused much controversy, but it opened a new, more challenging journey. After missing out on the play-off, his team finally achieved their promotion target in the 2025/26 season, officially returning to the V-League.

Remarkably, over the course of 9 years, Tấn Sinh has experienced almost every level of Vietnamese professional football: From the U20 World Cup, winning the V-League, being relegated, playing in the First Division, and then returning to the highest level of Vietnamese football. A journey not too loud but full of marks.

After many years of absence, Tấn Sinh still nurtures the desire to return to the Vietnam national team

Currently, the 1998-born center-back still carries his greatest aspiration: Returning to the jersey of the Golden Star Warriors. Although he was once called up and featured at youth levels, Tấn Sinh has been absent from the national team since 2020, but the ambition to return has never faded.

From the peak of participating in the U20 World Cup to the many twists and turns in the V-League, Huỳnh Tấn Sinh is writing a rare story where titles are not everything, but it is perseverance that creates the most special mark.
