Haigang 4-2 Yukun! Ends four-game losing streak, five points above relegation zone; Song Wenjie with one goal and two assists; Yukun winless in four matches

On June 26, Beijing time, the Chinese Super League resumed after nearly a month-long break. In the first match to finish, Qingdao Haigang beat Yunnan Yukun 4-2 on home turf, halting their four consecutive league defeats.

Before the break, Haigang had lost four straight CSL matches, dropping back to third from bottom. Facing Yukun at home, they finally rediscovered their winning rhythm. Just 12 minutes in, Kim Yong-ho played a cut-back pass, and Song Wenjie scored with a heel flick to break the deadlock.

However, only seven minutes later, Ye Chugui crossed the ball and Oscar slotted home at the far post to level the score for Yukun.

In the 26th minute, Lin Chuangyi and Song Wenjie combined in a one-two, and Lin then curled the ball in from a zero-degree angle, putting Haigang ahead again.

Four minutes later, Cleber fired a low shot into the far corner, once again pulling Yukun level at 2-2.

Towards the end of the first half, Haigang mounted another attack. In the 39th minute, Cayo mishandled the ball while trying to control it, and Ezjuma seized the opportunity to volley home, restoring Haigang’s lead.

In the fifth minute of first-half stoppage time, Song Wenjie delivered a low cross from the right, and Messooudi tapped in to extend Haigang’s advantage to 4-2. By halftime, Song Wenjie had already contributed one goal and two assists.

After the break, in the 76th minute, Messooudi was injured while challenging for the ball and was carried off on a stretcher, covering his face in pain.

In the 86th minute, Yukun came close to pulling one back. Joniča curled a shot, but Haigang goalkeeper Mou Pengfei made a brilliant save to keep it out.

During stoppage time, Yukun wasted another clear chance. Oscar headed the ball down, and Cleber, with an excellent close-range opportunity, fired wide.

In the end, Haigang held on for the victory. With this win, they ended a four-match winless run. After 16 rounds, they have 6 wins, 2 draws, and 8 losses. Despite a seven-point deduction, they sit on 13 points, surpassing Haigang to move up to fourth from bottom, five points clear of the relegation zone occupied by Three Towns.

Yukun, meanwhile, remain winless in four matches (2 draws, 2 losses), with 6 wins, 3 draws, and 7 losses from 16 games for a total of 21 points.
