Manchester United's sale is blocked, and West Ham wants to abandon the iron gate! It is difficult to sell a high-paying widow, and I am afraid to wait for the contract to expire

Manchester United are trying to sell a number of players, but so far they have not been able to do so, mainly because of the transfer fee, but also because of the high income. As a result, the club may eventually have to keep them and wait for their contracts to expire before parting ways. Just like Anthony Martial, who left the team this summer, was paid £250,000 a week, and his contract expired.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Victor Lindelof, who United are currently looking to purge, fall into that category. Their contracts expire next year and the club are willing to sell, but both are hampered by income issues. Aaron Wan-Bissaka has already approached buyers such as West Ham United, but he has asked United to compensate for the difference between his £90,000-a-week salary and the income from his new club's contract.

At the same time, the sale of Lindelof was not as easy as it might have been. According to United Kingdom's Daily Telegraph, although the Sweden national team captain has attracted interest from Turkey and Italy clubs, such as Fenerbahce of the Turkish Super League coached by mentor Jose Mourinho, his £120,000-a-week salary is a major obstacle for potential buyers, in addition to the transfer fee demanded by Manchester United.

Lindelof joined United from Benfica in 2017 for a fee of £30 million and now he is behind Lisandro· Martinez, Harry· Maguire and new signings Lenny · Yoro in the centre-back rankings. Last season, the Sweden Iceman made just 14 Premier League starts, but he was well aware that an injury crisis similar to last season could get him a chance to play, so he considered staying at the club until his contract expired and then getting better treatment on a free transfer.

Victor Lindelof's one-year extension clause was triggered midway through last season, meaning this summer is the last chance for United to sell him for the desired transfer fee. If United are unable to sell Victor Lindelof now, he will be allowed to negotiate terms with an overseas club from January next year and be free to move onwards.

United will only get a maximum of £10 million from Victor Lindelof, but are likely to have to keep him as the deal to bring in Bayern Munich centre-back De Ligt has not progressed and the other side are asking for €50 million.

In the transfer market, Manchester United players are always unable to sell for a high price, and this is due to a number of factors. Like Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Scott McTominay, it's because they lack modern football technology, which is passing ability. Today's players, even if they make good saves like David De Gea and win the Premier League Golden Glove award, are not popular in football if they don't have enough ability on their feet. As for the likes of Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Casemiro and Jadon Sancho, it is because of the high salaries, and there are few teams in Europe that can offer high transfer fees and high salaries at the same time. Anthony and his ilk, on the other hand, have both.

United are currently looking to sell Aaron Wan-Bissaka, whose departure is key to bringing in a new wing-back. West Ham have expressed their willingness to accept United's £18million offer and offer the player a salary comparable to the club's high-paid players. However, United are in talks with the 26-year-old over compensation and want to add the potential fee to West Ham's transfer fee, but the overall scheme has not yet been agreed.

West Ham have run out of patience as a result, with rumours they will drop Aaron Wan-Bissaka and are considering bringing in Newcastle United England international Kieran Trippier, with Girona's Arnau · Martinez being another option.

Wan-Bissaka may also consider staying and waiting until next year for a free transfer to Inter Milan. United have been rumoured to be trading Dumfries with Inter, however, Ten Hag has preferred Mazraoui. Aaron Wan-Bissaka was substituted in United's defeat to Liverpool and appeared to have a leg problem, but The Athletic revealed that he was not injured, so the transfer will not be hindered. His contract expires next summer and there is no extension clause left, so United now need to sell him to recoup a sizable transfer fee.
