It was revealed that Manchester United consumed relegation or signed 50 million strikers! After three games in a row, the opponent was happy to join

Manchester United are reportedly looking to bring in a new striker in the summer window, but Ruben Amorim is targeting players who are either too expensive or unwilling to give in, so the club is considering bringing in Crystal Palace's Jean-Philippe Matta. Despite the Red Devils' current slump in form, a move to Manchester United is still attractive to Mateta compared to Crystal Palace.

Mateta has excelled at Oliver Glasner's club Crystal Palace, with the 27-year-old French striker being one of the most consistent goalscorers in the Premier League over the past two seasons, scoring 19 goals last season. Mateta is expected to surpass that statistic this season, scoring eight goals in his last 10 appearances, including two in a 2-0 win over Manchester United last month. Currently, he is ranked 10th in the Premier League's scorer charts.

According to The Sun, Manchester United are considering bringing in Mateta in the summer and have sent scouts to watch his last three games. This is because Amorim's other centre-forward targets are too difficult to obtain, some transfer fees and weekly salaries are too high, some dislike Manchester United, and some have both of the above conditions!

For example, Sporting de Portugal's Dzhecherish, although he has worked with Amorim, he has scored 80 goals in 89 games, and he will only choose clubs that can play in the Champions League. Manchester United still have a chance to meet the criteria in keeping their Europa League hopes alive, but it will be difficult and may not be the ideal new club for the Swedish striker.

As for Osimhen, who Napoli loaned to Galatasaray, not only the transfer fee is as high as 75 million euros, but also the weekly salary of more than 400,000 pounds, which is difficult for Manchester United, which is facing financial difficulties. The likes of the younger generation of goalscorers, Sheshko and Liam Delap, shrugged off the chaos of Old Trafford.

Amorim is in desperate need of reinforcements up front, with the club spending more than £100 million on Hojlund and Zirkze, who have scored just five goals in the Premier League this season. However, there is a general perception within United that bringing in Mateta would be a smart move, as he currently has 12 Premier League goals to his name, and at a lower cost, he can also play in the 343 formation that Amorim favours.

According to The Sun, even if he joins a declining Premier League giant, it is still attractive for Mateta. He believes he is ready to play for Manchester United. Since Sir Alex Ferguson's departure, the Red Devils have seen a dramatic decline in strength, but they remain one of the biggest clubs in the world.

During the winter transfer window in January, former Arsenal and England international Paul Merson was convinced that United should sign Mateta. He told Sky Sports: "Manchester United deserve Mateta, that's what they need. He's a strong striker, in great form, can lead the line and score goals. He runs and tries harder than anyone you know. But Manchester United probably won't do that because he plays for Crystal Palace. Everyone will ask: what to buy him for? In fact, he is 100 times better than any player in United's forward line, and apart from Ahmad, he is a young man. Mateta is now much better than Hojlund and Zirkze."

Crystal Palace signed Mateta from Bundesliga Mainz for just £11 million in 2022. Crystal Palace will make a huge profit if they agree to sell this summer, and they could ask for £50 million.

However, Mateta suffered a serious injury in Crystal Palace's FA Cup win over Millwall and will miss at least a couple of weeks. He was kicked in the head by Millwall goalkeeper Liam Roberts and received oxygen on the pitch before being taken to hospital where he had to get stitches for a severe cut to his left ear.
