At the opening of the Women's Super League, Song Kai presided over the youth training forum

Reporter Chen Yong reports On the occasion of Women's Day on March 8, the opening ceremony of the Chinese Women's Football Super League was held at the Zaozhuang Cultural and Sports Center Stadium. On the morning of this day, Song Kai, chairman of the Chinese Football Association, and Sun Wen, vice chairman of the Chinese Football Association, convened people from Shandong, Qingdao, Zaozhuang, Weifang, Tengzhou and other football associations, schools, social youth training institutions and sports schools to discuss women's football youth training.

Hu Bin, director of the Shandong Provincial Football Management Center and president of the Shandong Provincial Football Association Council, introduced the development of women's football in Shandong: at present, Shandong women's football has 1 women's Super League, 2 women's A and 4 women's B teams, and at the same time, campus football women's football is developing rapidly, and 8 of the top 12 high schools in the province have carried out women's football training, but Shandong women's football has the problem of pursuing short-term results too much and lacking long-term training at the conceptual level, including the goal, quality and follow-up feedback of training sessions are not in place. At the same time, there is a shortage of youth coaches in women's football and a shortage of high-level coaches. Hu Bin said that the Shandong Provincial Football Association plans to set up a women's football committee to further guide and coordinate the development of women's football, and he also suggested that the closed training model under the age of 15 should be broken, and premature specialization should be avoided to achieve the healthy development of women's football.

Zaozhuang Sports Bureau, Tengzhou No. 1 Middle School, Zaozhuang Yifu Primary School, Dingsheng and Guanlin Football Clubs also introduced the development of Zaozhuang women's football. At present, Zaozhuang City will rely on the opportunity of the Women's Super League to develop women's football, of which campus football and sports schools are two key points, such as Tengzhou No. 1 Middle School, on the basis of having an 11-a-side standard natural football field, a women's football team has been formed. Social youth training institutions such as Dingsheng and Guanlin have supported the development of women's football to the greatest extent and improved the quality of women's football training. For example, Zhang Huarong, the founder of Tengzhou Guanlin Football Club, is a retired women's football player, and the organization has 3 female coaches and 50 young women's football players. Both youth training institutions said that the training and promotion of coaches is the difficulty, and how to motivate parents to support women's football is also a topic.

Tian Weiguo, director of Qingdao Football Management Center, introduced the development of women's football in Qingdao: in addition to the resumption of women's professional football, Qingdao Women's Football Youth Training Center now has 8 echelons in the U9 to U16 age group, with 282 players in training. At the same time, he introduced the training of Qingdao women's football in terms of technology, body, mind and other aspects. Tian Weiguo has coaching experience in women's football, he said that the training of women's football is very critical, which involves the issue of time and efficiency, and is also closely related to the level of coaches, and more than 60 registered social youth training institutions in Qingdao have become the key to the development of Qingdao men's and women's football youth training. Tang Weihua, principal of Weifang Sports School, said that the Weifang Women's Football Team will form a women's football team to participate in the Women's B League based on Weifang Sports School and Weifang Women's Football Youth Training Center.

During the whole process, Song Kai also kept in communication, he introduced the situation of the national women's football team and local women's football research, and said that at present, there are great problems in the basic technical level of women's football players, and almost all the women's football players surveyed are unable to stably complete the 12 parts of the ball, and it is urgent to strengthen the training of each women's football team. After learning about the current development of women's football in domestic campus football and social youth training institutions, Song Kai said that the Chinese Football Association will continue to strengthen the tracking of outstanding campus football women's football teams and women's football teams of social youth training institutions. In the communication, he also put forward specific requirements for various football associations, schools, youth training institutions and sports schools, and hoped that all parties in Shandong would make every effort to promote the development of women's football.

After the formation of the new team of the Chinese Football Association, research, discussion and discussion have become the norm, for example, Song Kai organized a youth training symposium for the first time after he traveled to observe the U15 group finals of the 2023 season after serving as the chairman of the Chinese Football Association, and the coaches of the participating teams were organized to discuss during the U21 League and U17 League last year. The same is true for women's football, from February 14 to February 26 this year, the Chinese Football Association held two technical seminars on youth events in the women's U16 group Yuxi Division and the U18 group Zhangzhou Division of the Chinese Youth Championship.

The 2025 season of the Women's Professional Football League is divided into two competitions, the Women's Super League and the Women's A, of which there are 12 Women's Super League teams and 14 Women's League A teams. In addition, as a non-professional league, the Women's B League is not limited to registration, and the scale is expected to be further expanded. The Chinese Football Association also intends to strengthen the construction of the Women's League B and carry out a comprehensive restructuring of the name and system of the competition, so as to better connect the Women's League A and the Women's Super League.
