Manchester United has confirmed the acquisition of Brentford's right winger Mbeumo. According to Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the club will then shift its attention to signing a new striker. The center-forward position will be the club's next priority, but no candidates have been determined as of now.

Romano disclosed that before purchasing a new striker, Manchester United must first sell players to raise funds. Rashford, Sancho, Garnacho, and Antony are among those confirmed to be on the chopping block. Among them, Sancho is the most likely to leave first. Negotiations with Italian giants Juventus have been ongoing for some time, and Italian media claim he could undergo a medical as early as this weekend.
However, based on current trends, the likelihood of Sancho completing his transfer this week seems low. Nevertheless, he is indeed the player with the most potential destinations; besides Juventus, Premier League side Nottingham Forest has also been reported to join the competition. The team recently sold another former Manchester United winger, Elanga, to Newcastle for £55 million and now needs to find a replacement, with 25-year-old Sancho considered a candidate.
The British newspaper The Sun reports that Nottingham Forest's wealthy owner Evangelos Marinakis has approved the pursuit of this deal. The team will participate in the Europa League next season, but they not only lost Elanga; their number 10 player, Morgan Gibbs-White, may also leave. Earlier this month, Tottenham triggered Gibbs-White's release clause, but Forest filed a complaint, stating they had not authorized Tottenham to approach the player.
While Nottingham Forest can offer an opportunity to stay in the Premier League, Sancho is currently believed to prefer joining Juventus. After all, the "Old Lady" is a traditional powerhouse and will compete in the Champions League next season, making it more attractive than Nottingham. Reports suggest that Sancho is eager to prove his worth at Juventus, with his contract including a clause promising the club's full support. However, Juventus must first offload Argentine forward Nicolás González.

Another player who has been in transfer talks is the 25-year-old Brazilian winger Antony, with La Liga side Real Betis never ceasing their pursuit. Last season, he scored 9 goals and provided 5 assists for the "Rudders." However, Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen is also a potential buyer for Antony. New coach Ten Hag recently stated that the player is like a son to him.
Ten Hag has previously signed Antony twice: first from São Paulo to Ajax in 2020, and then to Manchester United in 2022. Ten Hag told German newspaper Bild, "He is incredibly talented; I signed him twice. He is like a son to me, and he still is."
Leverkusen sold Wirtz and Frimpong to Liverpool this summer and brought in center-back Kwanza from them, as well as goalkeeper Mark Flekken from Brentford. Ten Hag admitted that the team currently does not plan to sign Antony but hinted that the situation could change. "We are not interested in him at the moment, but we will see how things develop in the future."
Ten Hag's new coaching journey has not been smooth; this week, his team suffered a shocking 1-5 defeat to the U20 team of Brazilian Flamengo! In this match, the "Pharmaceuticals" were heavy favorites to win at 1/100. However, the result was surprising, as Flamengo's youth team won 5-1. They scored within 2 minutes of the match starting and continued to score one after another, leading 4-0 at halftime.

Ten Hag refused to make substitutions during the midfield, resulting in another goal conceded in the second half. He then replaced all the players, bringing on Zaha, Grimaldo, and Schick, finally scoring a consolation goal. Manchester United fans jokingly said that "Saint Ten" urgently needs to recruit Antony to save himself!
