The date of Amorim's 11 million official coach of Manchester United has been set, and the coaching staff has been exposed! Mourinho encouraged him to take over

The 39-year-old Portuguese coach Ruben Amorim is no longer in charge of Manchester United, but the official date will be postponed, and according to the Portuguese and British media, he will go to England after November 10 to start a new chapter in charge. Despite the Red Devils' hopes, Amorim will not be in charge of United's clash with Chelsea. Amorim's first game as United's new manager will be a Premier League trip to Ipswich Town at Portman Road, coached by former Ole Gunnar Solskjaer assistant Kieran McKenna.

Portuguese media revealed that Amorim continued to lead training at Sporting de Portugal on Wednesday, and he will continue to be the coach of the team for half a month. In the dressing room, the players complained about his departure in the middle of the game. Amorim had to publicly apologise for flying a private jet to London this summer to negotiate with West Ham United.

Alex Crook of the British radio talkSPORT also reported that Amorim will remain in Portugal until after the first week of November. Sporting demanded that United pay more money before they could waive the 'notice period' of Amorim's contract. Just like the average employee needs one month's notice to change jobs, Amorim also has a one-month notice period for his €10 million termination fee.

United are said to have agreed to pay €11 million (£9.2 million) for Amorim to leave Sporting after 10 November.

Crook said: "As things stand, it looks like Amorim, who will be in charge of Manchester United, will stay at Sporting until 10 November. According to Portuguese sources, the official announcement could be made as early as tomorrow. Both Portuguese and Manchester United declined to comment tonight."

The Sun reports that Amorim also wants to postpone his time in charge of Manchester United until next week after Sporting and Manchester City have a Champions League group stage clash next Tuesday. If he takes charge of Manchester United after 10 November, he will also play three games in charge of Sporting, including at home to Amadora this weekend, Manchester City next week and Braga next weekend, which is also his former club.

British media revealed that Mourinho encouraged Amorim to switch from Sporting to Manchester United. The current Fenerbahce boss has been a mentor to Amorim, who spent an internship at Old Trafford in 2018 when Jose Mourinho was in charge of Manchester United, as required for UEFA's professional football coaching course.

The two have always been in close contact and when the 39-year-old found out that United were interested in him, he turned to Mourinho for advice. Amorim once referred to Mourinho as his reference and said of him: "Mourinho is unique, there will be no other Mourinho, Mourinho is unique."

Meanwhile, despite the Portuguese madman sacked by the club in his third season, unlike Louis van Gaal, who dissuaded Ten Hag from going to Manchester United more than two years ago, the boss encouraged Amorim to join the club. With this support, Amorim quickly agreed to United's offer. He will sign a two-and-a-half-year contract, plus a one-year right of first refusal.

Amorim will also bring his own coaches, Carlos Fernández, Adrio Candido and Jorge Vital, as well as sports scientists Paulo Barella and Emmanuel Ferro. Sporting Portugal has asked Manchester United for another €5 million in compensation, with the club saying it had intended to promote his 29-year-old assistant coach Carlos Fernandez to take over as manager.
