Ajax will pay a set fee of €14.75 million for Gloukh. The overall transfer fee could increase to €17.25 million with bonuses.

The 21-year-old Gloukh came to Red Bull Salzburg in 2023 from Maccabi Tel Aviv and excelled in his last two seasons in Austria, scoring 17 goals and providing 17 assists in 55 matches for the 17-time Bundesliga champions.
Ajax outpaced several clubs in the competition to secure Gloukh's signature. As discussions between the Amsterdam club and Red Bull Salzburg extended, teams like RB Leipzig, VfB Stuttgart, and AS Roma threatened to take over the deal.

According to Gloukh's father, Roma proposed a salary two-and-a-half times higher than what Ajax offered, yet Gloukh opted for Ajax. "He had a dream to go there, and that dream has been fulfilled," Gloukh's father told radio station 5 On Air.
In Amsterdam, Gloukh will wear the number 10 jersey, previously held by Chuba Akpom and earlier by club legend Dusan Tadic. Gloukh joins a midfield lacking in creativity—something the young star was recruited to enhance.
Gloukh joins a midfield lineup featuring Steven Berghuis, Davy Klaassen, Kenneth Taylor, and young Jorthy Mokio, who appears ready to vie for a starting position following Jordan Henderson's exit.

However, Ajax may not be finished in the transfer market. Dutch sources suggest that Ajax is still pursuing a new controlling midfielder and is also looking to acquire a left-back, with Jorrel Hato expected to move to Chelsea for €43 million.
Ajax fell short of securing their first Eredivisie title since 2022 last season after the Amsterdam club squandered a double-digit lead in the closing weeks, allowing rivals PSV to win a second consecutive league title.
Ajax will kick off their new Eredivisie season on Sunday, August 10th, with a home match against Telstar.
