Manchester United's new signing Mbeumo, for £71 million, will make his debut against Everton in the early hours of Monday, as confirmed by the club. The 25-year-old Cameroonian winger officially joined before the tour in the United States, but his debut was delayed due to falling behind his teammates in training.

Due to the delays in his transfer to Manchester United, Mbeumo was unable to participate in the pre-season training properly. He started training a week late while at Brentford and did not join the team for group training, having to practice individually. As a result, Mbeumo's physical training progress is two weeks behind that of his teammates.
However, Ruben Amorim has now confirmed that Mbeumo is eligible to play, and he will make his debut in Atlanta, where Manchester United will conclude their tour in the United States. Amorim stated, "He will play in the match, and like you, I am really excited to see him in action and to see what he can bring to our team."
British media reported that Amorim is very satisfied with the team's training situation this summer, noting that the players are in good shape and have a positive attitude, which even led him to cancel his original plan for double training sessions each day. Amorim firmly believes that Manchester United as a club is now better in every detail compared to the end of last season.
"I feel that we are superior in every aspect compared to last season," Amorim said. "This applies to the organization of daily affairs, improved nutrition, as well as our cooking methods, dietary content, and training preparations. I believe we are more organized now, and there are more people helping the team to improve. I no longer worry about small matters, whereas last year I was troubled by these things. So, these improvements have helped us, and they allow me to focus more on watching games and paying attention to the team. This assistance is significant, both for the coach and for the players."

Amorim mentioned that he now feels he can focus more on training guidance for the team rather than dealing with macro issues at the club level. "I think the players are performing exceptionally well, and they understand that they need to give their all; if they don't, their time here will be tough. So, this point is also very important."
When asked to provide a specific example of the cultural changes in Manchester United's daily life, Amorim pointed to the atmosphere during meals. "It's completely different," he explained. "These are details that won't directly determine the outcome of matches, but they help us win games. They now spend more time together after meals; previously, they would leave immediately after eating. Now, they wait for each other. The longer they spend together, you can hear in their voices that things are improving."
Manchester United has achieved consecutive victories in their two matches in the United States, and Amorim is quite pleased: "I am excited about the performance in the last match. When you see the starting lineup, you might think, 'There's nothing to see today.' But I am happy because I know the team can perform even better. So, I have been very excited, especially at this moment."
However, Amorim confirmed that Manchester United still needs to seek more distinctive new signings in the last month of the transfer window. When asked if he hopes to sign a new striker and goalkeeper, he responded, "Hope is a strong word; we are always looking for ways to improve the team's strength. I hope to acquire some players with specific characteristics. But this also depends on the transfer market and the selling situation; we will see how it turns out."

Mbeumo's Cameroon teammate Andre Onana will not participate in the match against Everton. The 29-year-old goalkeeper hopes to play against Fiorentina after returning to England. When asked about signing a new first-choice goalkeeper, Amorim diplomatically replied, "I am really satisfied with the current squad. I believe that even when you discuss Andre (Onana), you can see the situation with the goalkeepers; even Tom (Heaton) has slimmed down; he is a different goalkeeper. Al-Tay (Bainidil) has performed very well, and Onana will improve like other players who have progressed this year."
