Be a man! Amorim demands Manchester United players to be as impulsive as he is, revealing that Lajue sent him memes.

British media reported that Amorim and Lajue once chatted over beers in Carrington, and when Lajue attempted to share tactical opinions, Amorim told him to "get lost." Amorim confirmed that the 72-year-old former British billionaire Lajue is actually easy to get along with and enjoys sending memes during conversations.

"We talk on the phone, he messages me, and he even sends me memes. You think: memes! Are you kidding?" Amorim said, "So that's the kind of relationship we have; dealing with Jim is really easy. Easy in the sense that if you understand your work situation and know how to explain any decisions, it will go smoothly with him. If you try to pull tricks or boast, he will take you down. So for me, it's really easy."

Amorim added, "I will speak with great respect, just as I do with everyone else. I know he is the club's owner, and I am clear about my position, but when I need to say something, I will naturally say it, without beating around the bush. I can guarantee no ambiguity, no evasion, but rather straightforwardness. I think this is something he really appreciates."

Amorim revealed that one key area he is focusing on is the atmosphere in the team's locker room. Manchester United has established new codes of conduct that clearly outline expected standards and potential penalties. This list is quite detailed, covering aspects such as time management and interaction with fans.

New signing Mbemo was punished shortly after arriving, as his teammates surrounded him and sarcastically applauded because he was the last player to arrive at training.

Amorim explained, "The rules are not meant to treat players like children; they are adults with children. I treat them as adults, but they need to follow the rules now. This may change your training methods. If your training methods are incorrect, I will show you relevant videos, and I will do this in front of everyone so that they have to give their all. They understand that when I make a statement, I will act on it. This is very important. The cultural change is more of a club-level issue rather than a head coach issue. I can't do everything alone."

Amorim demands players to take on greater responsibility. "At some point, I don't need to do anything because the players will push each other. But right now, if a training session goes poorly, I will show them the relevant footage. I won't just talk; I will show you everything. So this does require a lot of energy. But I feel that this year, I have more people helping me do this."

Reports indicate that Amorim has formed a new "Player Committee" to assist the coaching staff, with members including Bruno Fernandes, Maguire, Lisandro Martinez, Diogo Dalot, Tom Heaton, and Mazraoui.

"We now have a player leadership team, not just B Fee or Maguire; there are now six people responsible for the entire team's work. In the past six months, there were some things I had to handle myself, but now I tell them: 'You handle this, the small issues are your responsibility. You need to take responsibility.' All these small changes contribute to the development of the entire team."

Manchester United's highest-paid star Casemiro is no longer among the leadership players. Amorim explained, "It's not just the oldest players who are selected; for example, Mazraoui is among them, and he is one of my favorite players. I try to understand how the team operates and cover every position; they are the key players to ensure everyone stays united."

There have also been personnel changes in Manchester United's logistics team, including chefs, nutrition directors, and nutritionists. The head of the medical services department, Gary O'Driscoll, is set to leave, but he remains in position until the club finds a replacement. Manchester United has appointed two relatively young physiotherapists and two soft tissue specialists.

Amorim commented, "Every department has improved. Omar (Belada) and Jason (Wilcox) have reached a consensus on all the changes we need to make."

As a Portuguese, Amorim is quite emotional, similar to Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes. He squats on the sidelines when disappointed, kicks water bottles when angry, and even breaks the large-screen TV in the locker room.

Amorim believes the Red Devils need more passion, to be men! "In this team, we need to inject more emotional elements. With this kind of emotion, we can be more dedicated, more energetic, and more driven. We are continuously improving in this regard. Competition will help. If Cunha plays, Mount can only sit on the bench. Bruno and Kobe Menno play the same position; Bruno can perform different roles, and so can Kobe. These factors will all play a role."

He emphasized that he will not simply recruit for the sake of recruiting: "If someone wants to join the team, we need to do the same thorough assessment we did when bringing in Brian (Mbemo) and Cunha. We must carefully evaluate their skill characteristics, simulate their performance abroad, and imagine how they would perform and fit in with our club."

If more players cannot be acquired, Amorim plans to use young players to fill the gaps in various positions. Manchester United has maintained the tradition of including at least one youth academy player in the matchday squad for the past 88 years, but the Portuguese admits that the club's youth training is not very well developed, specifically mentioning Garnacho's case. "I believe Manchester United needs to enhance its youth training system. We have some young players who cannot always fully commit to the team."

Regarding Garnacho, Sancho, Antony, and Malacia being excluded from training, Amorim said, "The transfer market is open. Some players have clearly indicated they do not want to stay here, which is normal. They are not bad; I am fine; I am not bad; they are fine. It's a simple situation; they want new challenges. We will utilize these spaces to prepare for the team I expect. If the transfer market closes and they are still Manchester United players, then as a club, we must treat them equally."

Amorim believes that Manchester United's reputation and visibility will ultimately improve the club's finances. "I have no doubt about this because some things cannot be bought; our club has those qualities. For instance, tradition, history, and the number of fans. Even without the Champions League, we have enough funding. You can talk to Omar and others; they are developing various strategies to secure more funds in the future. This will not be an issue. So, since we have different cultural backgrounds and all the heritage and wealth, we can definitely return to the top; it's obvious."

Some Manchester United fans believe that with Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, and other Premier League rivals being active in the transfer market this summer, the Red Devils may already be behind. However, Amorim thinks it's better to focus on improving his own players instead of worrying about other teams.

"Some players cannot run faster, but if you observe their performance in matches, you will notice that the pace of the game is still different. That's my view. Why? I believe it's due to training. If you can clearly anticipate the flow of actions on the field, your reactions will be quicker. For example, if you decide whether to jump, through training, they know better when to act. Acting earlier, sometimes it's one meter, sometimes it's one second; this is the combination of tactical and physical aspects."

Amorim mentioned Menno's interception of Areola's pass in the 2-1 victory against West Ham, which led to B Fee's second goal. "Kobe, with his footwork, if he manages the pace well and knows how to handle the ball after receiving it, remembering to mark his man every time he tracks back, he can play faster because he has the ability to do so."

As for the movements of other strong teams, Amorim admitted, "If our situation were different, I might be more concerned about these issues. Right now, Manchester United's problems are so significant that I only desire to change everything, so I have no time to think about others. I am pleased with the new signings; they have proven themselves in the Premier League, so I am not worried about their fitness and am satisfied with their character. Personally, I believe Jason and Omar feel the same way; all the players we want to bring in, any coach would want. I can guarantee that no matter who you ask, any coach would be happy to have Mbemo and Cunha."
