As the only unconfirmed seat in F1 at the moment is the second seat for Little Red Bull, the team's seats are hardly open to outside drivers. Therefore, Zhou Guanyu's 3-year F1 career will basically come to an end.

On November 16, 2021, Zhou Guanyu officially announced that he became the first official driver of Formula 1 in Chinese history. In Bahrain for the first time, Zhou Guanyu finished in 10th place and scored one point, becoming the first Chinese driver to successfully finish the F1 race and score points.

He had the fastest lap of the course in Japan in 2022 and Bahrain in 2023, but both failed to earn the extra points because they didn't finish in the top 10. In the three years of F1, Zhou Guanyu scored 6 points in the first two seasons, ranking 18th and 17th respectively.
