Manchester United's manager Ruben Amorin excluded 29-year-old Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onana from the squad in the 0-1 loss to Arsenal, officially citing his absence from any preseason training or warm-up matches. After the match, Amorin explained: "Andre (Onana) is not injured; he has recovered, but other players performed very well during preseason, and I have to find a balance. Next week might tell a different story. This week, we chose the players who participated."

According to reports, Amorin and Onana's relationship has reached a turning point, and Manchester United is set to seek a new goalkeeper in the near future, possibly within the next two weeks of the summer transfer window.
