A dramatic back-and-forth match between Hải Phòng and Thép Xanh Nam Định in the U17 National Qualifiers finished with a 3-3 stalemate.

On the afternoon of August 18, the second round of matches in Groups B and C of the 2025 U17 National Championship Qualifiers delivered exciting action and surprising outcomes. The senior teams of Hải Phòng and Thép Xanh Nam Định had just faced off in the V.League, and now their U17 squads clashed in the second round of the National U17 Qualifiers.

In Group B at the PVF Youth Football Center, the intense score battle between Hải Phòng and Thép Xanh Nam Định ended 3-3. Hoàng Văn Tuân shined with a hat-trick for Nam Định, but his efforts weren’t enough for victory as Hải Phòng surged late in the game, scoring twice to secure a valuable point.

In the simultaneous match, Sông Lam Nghệ An delivered a dominant performance, winning 8-0 over Luxury Hạ Long. Seven different SLNA players scored, highlighting their strong team play. Meanwhile, PVF-CAND continued to prove their status as top contenders with a 2-0 win against Đông Á Thanh Hóa, maintaining their perfect record after two rounds.

Group C action at Hàm Rồng Stadium (Gia Lai) was equally dramatic. Quảng Ngãi and Hoàng Anh Gia Lai finished 0-0, while TP.HCM earned a crucial 3-1 victory over Gia Lai, moving up to challenge for the top spot.

After the second round, Group B sees PVF-CAND leading with a perfect 6 points, followed by Sông Lam Nghệ An with 3 points and a strong goal difference thanks to their big win. Hải Phòng and Thép Xanh Nam Định share third and fourth places with 2 points each.
