North London rivals are competing for a signing as Tottenham have made a £60 million offer for 27-year-old Eze, who is valued at €55 million.

Crystal Palace, a team in the lower half of the Premier League, leveraged their swift counterattacks to beat Manchester City for the FA Cup last season and Liverpool for the Community Shield at the start of this campaign. Eze stands out as Palace's key player, with Arsenal and Tottenham both keen to sign the English attacking midfielder.

According to the latest update from Italian transfer expert Romano, Tottenham have submitted a bid for Eze totaling £60 million, with £55 million guaranteed and an additional £5 million in add-ons. With Maddison suffering a serious injury in preseason, Spurs are determined to strengthen their squad by signing Eze, but face competition from Arsenal. Arsenal, who have finished runners-up in the Premier League three times in a row, currently face two major weak spots: left winger Martinelli and attacking midfielder Ødegaard. The left flank has been ineffective, with Martinelli lacking ability, while Ødegaard focuses mainly on simple passes, making Arsenal’s attack less creative. Eze, who can play both as a left winger and in an attacking midfield role, would greatly expand Arsenal’s tactical options.

Reports indicate that Tottenham and Crystal Palace are still negotiating over the £60 million offer; Palace are holding out for more. Eze, valued at €55 million on Transfermarkt, has two years left on his contract. At 27, he contributed 14 goals and 11 assists in 43 matches across all competitions last season, showcasing his versatility as both a scorer and a creator.
