The two semifinals showcased contrasting styles: China battled fiercely against New Zealand and emerged victorious, preventing an all-Oceania final. Meanwhile, Iran, knowing they stood little chance, strategically conceded and suffered a 44-point defeat to Australia!

In the subsequent bronze medal match, Iran, having conserved energy in the semifinals, quickly bounced back at full strength and dominated the fatigued New Zealand team, steadily increasing the lead. As for other teams: Chinese Taipei and Lebanon suffered bitter disappointments, both surrendering 20-point leads and being dramatically overtaken by Iran and New Zealand, missing out on the semifinals. Still, Chinese Taipei’s fifth-place finish right behind the top four was respectable. Korea placed sixth, the Philippines seventh, Lebanon eighth, while Japan had a tough tournament, missing the top eight and settling for ninth. Syria finished at the bottom, losing all three of their matches!
