Entering the final day with a 9-3 lead, Team World made no errors and clinched the 2025 Laver Cup championship. With the score at 12-9, Taylor Fritz ended all hopes of a deciding doubles match for Team Europe by convincingly defeating Alexander Zverev 2-0, finalizing the score at 15-9.

Although Carlos Alcaraz had an impressive win earlier against Francisco Cerundolo, it was still insufficient for Team Europe to stage a comeback.

The qualifying rounds of the ATP 500 Japan Open 2025 also began today, with victories for Matteo Arnaldi, Mattia Bellucci, Marton Fucsovics, Ethan Quinn, Aleksandar Vukic, Juan Manuel Cerundolo, and two Japanese home players: Sho Shimabukuro and young talent Rei Sakamoto.
