The "limited-time post revenue doubling" event by Toutiao caused me some trouble, and I blame myself for wanting the rewards too much and not paying close attention to the announcement. I’m not sure if this article will be restricted or muted.

I took part in this event during weeks 1, 2, and 3, and the rewards for the first two weeks were credited, as shown by the two other income entries in the picture below. However, the reward for week 3 never arrived.

I saw many friends sharing their week 3 rewards yesterday, but mine still hadn’t arrived. I thought Toutiao might be processing payments in batches with some delay, so I didn’t pay much attention. But today, since the reward still hadn’t come, I contacted customer service, who told me I didn’t receive the invitation for week 3, even though I clearly registered successfully (see the first image in this post)! To be honest, my registration was done through the week 2 link.

Between September 16 and 22, I indeed did not receive the invitation shown in the picture for week 2. However, since I registered successfully, I assumed I was participating in the event and felt very happy, even thanking Toutiao several times in my heart. Last week, I put in extra effort, creating content every day and taking posting more seriously than usual. Today, customer service’s response hit me hard, saying I didn’t get the week 3 invitation, which suddenly made me feel awful, like I’d swallowed a fly.

I sincerely hope that next time Toutiao runs an event, if there’s no notification allowing participation, they shouldn’t let us register successfully. Otherwise, creators like us will misunderstand, and when it’s time to receive rewards, we’ll end up disappointed.

Has anyone else experienced the same painful situation? From the initial happiness and excitement, to spending hours creating every day for a week, and finally ending with disappointment!
