Jiang Zhenbang/Wei Yaxin defeated Mathias/Boer 2-0 to advance to the final.
Feng Yanzhe/Huang Dongping beat Xianavi/Marwa 2-0 to secure their place in the final.
Post-match analysis and reflections
At this event, the Chinese team’s performance was rather average, with only the mixed doubles making it to the semifinals. No players from men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, or women’s doubles reached the top four. This may be related to many Chinese players missing the tournament.
The Chinese team claimed only one gold medal at this event, which was in mixed doubles. Since the Jiang Ban Ya and Phoenix pairs won their semifinal matches today and advanced to the final, they have guaranteed both gold and silver medals in mixed doubles. Let’s applaud their achievement!
Who do you think will win the final tomorrow? Feel free to share your thoughts. I believe there is a 60% chance the Phoenix pair will take the title!
