At the post-match press conference, Zhu Lin spoke about her physical condition: "I hope to maintain a healthy body; I don't have high expectations for my ranking, but if I can return to the top 100, I am willing to work hard for it. Every time I compete at home, many fans come to watch. Although my ranking isn't very high, I am grateful for the continuous support from my fans." Andrejeva commented, "It was a tough match. I have admired Zhu Lin’s matches since I was young. I kept up strong aggression and am very happy with the win."

Following that, Chinese player Yuan Yue took the court on the Diamond Court but lost 0-6, 3-6 to this year’s Wimbledon champion and top seed Swiatek, missing out on a spot in the round of 32. Returning to Beijing after two years, the Polish star improved her personal China Open record to 7-0. In the third round, she will face Osorio, who defeated 28th seed Kalinskaya 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 in a tough match.

In other matches, Potapova defeated 21st seed Mboko 7-6(5), 7-5. Sixteenth seed Navarro beat Romanian player Ruse 6-3, 7-6(0). Twenty-ninth seed Yastremska was defeated 5-7, 4-6 by Spanish player Bosas-Manero, who will face fourth seed Andrejeva next.
