Post-Match Summary and Reflection
Today, the Chinese players performed as expected, with some even exceeding expectations—well done!
Firstly, in men’s singles, Chen Yuanyu eliminated Ovtcharov, and Yuan Licen knocked out Karlberg. Both opponents are top European players, so it was surprising and exciting that our young players managed to eliminate them!
Special praise goes to Chen Junsong for eliminating Tomokazu Harimoto, which was truly impressive. Last time at the Macau Champions, Xue Fei also knocked out Harimoto in the first round. This time, Chen Junsong sent Harimoto out early again—what a delightful surprise! Definitely worth applauding.
Wang Xiaotong’s victory over Miyu Nagasaki is also very encouraging, boosting morale for our Chinese team. Keep it up, aiming for a clean sweep of five titles!
