The 2025 ATP Finals prize money hits a record high, with an undefeated champion set to take home $5.07 million! Will Djokovic participate?

An undefeated champion at the 2025 Nitto ATP Finals will receive a record $5.071 million prize, the largest single amount ever awarded in the event's history.

This much-awaited season finale will take place at the Inalpi Arena in Turin from November 9 to 16, featuring a record total prize pool of $15.5 million.

In 2024, Jannik Sinner dominated the tournament without dropping a set to claim the title and $4.8811 million, setting the highest prize record at that time. Now, the Nitto ATP Finals champion’s prize is expected to surpass $5 million for the first time.

In 2023, Djokovic won the title undefeated, earning $4 million, which caused a sensation at the time.

This year’s year-end finals offer prize money exceeding $1 million per match starting from the semifinals. Winners of the semifinals will add $1.1835 million to their total earnings, while the final champion will gain an additional $2.367 million on top of prior winnings. Last year, Djokovic qualified for the year-end finals but withdrew in the end, much to the delight of the last few contenders vying for entry. Will Djokovic compete this year? Possibly, and this might be one reason for his participation in the Shanghai Masters to secure his qualification.

Currently, Alcaraz and Sinner have secured two spots, with Djokovic ranked fourth at 4,180 points. After the Shanghai Masters, there are the Paris Masters and some smaller tournaments, where hopeful players will compete actively to ensure they remain competitive for the final year-end finals qualification.

Djokovic holds seven ATP Finals titles, won in 2008, from 2012 to 2015, and in 2022 and 2023. Notably, when he won in 2023 at 36 years and 5 months old, he became the oldest champion in ATP Finals history. His four consecutive titles from 2012 to 2015 remain a record difficult to surpass.

Will Djokovic fight for his eighth ATP Finals title?
