Post-match summary
The Chinese players all performed excellently, winning every match they were expected to.
Especially Wang Chuqin, who fought hard to win 3-2 against an unknown opponent, likely due to unfamiliarity with the opponent’s style. We look forward to his smooth progression and hope he claims the men’s singles title.
It is unfortunate for Lin Gaoyuan to be eliminated so early after losing his match.
The nine remaining matches yet to be played promise to be very exciting. Everyone, be sure to tune in to CCTV-5, which is currently broadcasting live.
