French tennis player Oceane Dodin disclosed that she underwent breast augmentation surgery, becoming the first professional tennis player to do so despite warnings that she "would not be able to compete".
The 28-year-old French tennis player Oceane Dodin recently attracted major attention by revealing she had breast augmentation surgery during a break from competition due to injury. Remarkably, she confidently affirmed that she is the first professional player to undergo this surgery while still active, despite warnings that she "would no longer be able to play tennis".
Oceane Dodin was ranked 46th in the world in 2017 and has earned £2.1 million (nearly 65 billion VND) in prize money during her professional career. However, she recently had to take a nine-month break from competition due to a prolonged ear problem causing severe dizziness — a symptom that directly impacts balance, which is extremely dangerous for tennis players.
Oceane Dodin was ranked 46th in the world in 2017.
During her treatment and recovery period, Dodin decided to undergo the breast augmentation surgery she had long desired.
Speaking to RMC Sport, Dodin said: "This is something I have wanted to do for a very long time. I took advantage of the break from playing because I knew that after surgery, I would need to stop competing for about two months. During the season, that’s impossible. I thought, 'If I have to be out for six months anyway, why not do what I want?' And I wanted to do it now rather than wait until I’m 40 and finished with my career. I’m very happy I did it, I have absolutely no regrets, and it doesn’t bother me at all."
