2025 China Open: Noskova saves match point to advance, will face Anisimova in the final

On October 4th, Beijing time, the 2025 China Open women's singles semifinals were held, where third seed Anisimova and 26th seed Noskova both triumphed over their respective rivals to reach the final.

The opening women's singles semifinal featured defending champion and second seed Gauff against third seed Anisimova. Anisimova played excellently throughout, producing streaks of five and six consecutive games won, ultimately sweeping the defending champion 6-1, 6-2 in just 58 minutes to reach her first China Open singles final.

The second women's singles semifinal was more intense, with fifth seed Pegula and 26th seed Noskova each winning a set before a tense deciding set. Pegula secured a crucial break in the 11th game and held three match points on her serve, but Noskova resiliently saved them all, pushing the match to a tiebreak. Although Pegula led during the tiebreak, she failed to maintain the advantage, allowing Noskova to claim the match point first and narrowly win 6-3, 1-6, 7-6(6).

In the earlier women's doubles semifinal, defending champions and second seeds Paolini/Errani defeated fourth seeds Hsieh/Ostapenko 6-4, 6-0, advancing to the China Open doubles final for the second consecutive year.
