Danielle Collins, a controversial figure at the 2025 Australian Open, recently caused a stir by revealing her boyfriend criteria: she "does not want to date a short guy."
Danielle Collins, the American tennis player who once blew a teasing kiss to the booing Australian crowd in January, recently shared a blunt dating profile with strict demands for her future partner after returning to single life.
The 31-year-old star ended her relationship with Bryan Kipp last month after a year together. Collins also hinted at the possibility of joining a reality TV show The Bachelorette.
Currently ranked 63rd in the world, the player is active on dating apps but clearly states she "does not have room for short men or anyone who cannot support her as a homemaker."
Danielle Collins prefers a financially secure boyfriend who is not short
"I’m still a professional tennis player, but honestly, I want to become a traditional housewife," Collins’ dating profile states.
"I’ve been through my ‘power businesswoman’ phase, now I just want to raise chickens, do some home projects, bake fresh sourdough daily, be a dog mom, and hopefully have kids soon."
Collins added a sarcastic warning: "If you plan to lie about your height, just leave me alone. This zone isn’t for ‘short kings’."
The player, who has earned over $10 million in her career, also said she wants her boyfriend "to have money." Collins wrote on social media: "I’m serious… if anyone dares to message me, remember to include your latest bank statement."
One man actually did, sending her a photo of an account with millions in balance. Collins then mocked on Instagram: "Modern love… Okay, I’m logging off."
During a conversation on a podcast The Gay Tennis Podcast, when asked if she would consider joining The Bachelorette or other reality shows, Collins answered: "I might consider it, but it depends. Not sure if they can afford me – I’m a blockbuster star! I’ll think about it, but if I join The Bachelorette where should it be filmed? Maybe Australia."
Danielle Collins made headlines at the Australian Open earlier this year after a heated dispute with the crowd during her victory over home player Destanee Aiava. After being booed, Collins responded by blowing a mocking kiss, insulting the "older" audience, and even slapped her own backside in front of the angry crowd.
Before leaving the court, she sarcastically said: "You’re all contributing to the Danielle Collins Fund. I’ll use the money I earn in Australia for a five-star vacation."
She added: "It’s great to make the most of these opportunities. This tournament alone brought six new sponsorship offers – that’s a very positive sign. And as I said, every spectator contributed to that. Truly a great fortune."
Collins’ speech and behavior divided public opinion, but stayed true to the American player’s style: frank, straightforward, sometimes sharp – and always knowing how to make the world talk about her.
