The men's singles year-end finals have kicked off; here is a summary of the eight champions!

The ATP Finals are heating up, with group stage matches ongoing tonight Beijing time. So, how did the eight finalists perform throughout the tour this year? Let's see:

Alcaraz:

Champion titles in Rotterdam, Monte Carlo, Rome, French Open, Queen's Club, Cincinnati, US Open, and Tokyo

Sinner:

Champion titles at the Australian Open, Wimbledon, China Open, Vienna, and Paris

The twin stars are undoubtedly unique in this statistic. Alcaraz claimed eight titles, while Sinner secured five; they are the only two among the eight players to have won three or more titles.

Besides dominating all four Grand Slams in the second year, they also jointly won four Masters titles and five 500-level tournaments. Neither has a 250-level title, and in tournaments where both participated, no title slipped away. Compared to last year's dominance, this year's advantage appears even more pronounced.

Zverev:

Munich champion

Zverev, who once ranked as high as second in the world at the start of the season, has so far only one title—the Munich championship—which might seem modest, but this event was upgraded this year.

Shelton:

Toronto champion

Shelton started the year strong by reaching the Australian Open semifinals, and in Toronto, he finally added a new Masters title for the American team after Fritz. In the final, he defeated Kachanov, who returned to a Masters final after many years, denying his comeback.

Fritz:

Stuttgart and Eastbourne champion

Fritz, who has a well-rounded court coverage, has consistently won titles in recent years. This year, he excelled on grass, claiming two 250-level titles, and also reached the Wimbledon semifinals for the first time.

Deminor:

Washington champion

Although Deminor's Grand Slam results have remained at the quarterfinal level in recent years, his performance in 500-level events has been quite impressive. After winning Acapulco two years ago, he chose to compete in Dubai instead of defending his title this year, sacrificing ranking points. However, in the latter half of the year at Washington, he staged a comeback, once again defeating Fokina on court.

Aliassime:

Lyon and Brussels champion

Aliassime made it to the year-end finals again, thanks to his strong performances in indoor hard court events late in the year and consistent success in lower-tier tournaments earlier. Crucially, he benefited from Djokovic's withdrawal to secure his spot.

Musetti:

Three runner-up finishes

By comparison, despite playing on home soil, Musetti’s mood might be bitter as he is the only one without a single title, finishing runner-up six times, with three runner-up results just this season.(Source: Tennis Home, Author: Luo Cheng Qiye)
