After a tough three-set battle, You Xiaodi clinched her first title at the China Tour Finals.

Unnoticed, a new week has begun. In this fresh week, each of us will embrace a brand-new life. On behalf of all colleagues at Tennis Home, I wish everyone a joyful life. Yesterday marked the final day of the China Tour Macau Finals. So, which matches were worth watching? Who would claim the ultimate championship? Today, let this article guide you through it.

The first event was the men's singles final between Sun Fajing and Cui Jie. Sun Fajing secured his spot in the semifinals by topping his group with three straight wins over Tang Sheng, Chen Xingdao, and Sun Qian. In the semifinals, he decisively defeated Taiwan’s Li Guanyi to reach the final.

Cui Jie, on the other hand, advanced by winning against Xia Yue, Liu Shaoyun, and Wang Aoran in the group stage, also finishing first in his group. He then swept Zeng Yaojie in straight sets in the semifinals to reach the final. Notably, Sun Fajing and Cui Jie were the top two seeds of the tournament, and both had reached Challenger finals during the 2025 season. Objectively, this was a clash of top contenders.

In the match, Sun Fajing played exceptionally well in the first set, winning it 6-3 and coming close to the title. However, in the second set, an unwilling Cui Jie pushed the contest to a tiebreak. During the tiebreak, Sun Fajing had several match points, all of which Cui Jie saved. Fortunately, Sun Fajing eventually secured the victory. At the 2025 China Tour Finals, Sun Fajing won the men’s singles championship without dropping a set.

Next was the women’s singles final between You Xiaodi and Shi Han. In the group stage, You Xiaodi defeated Dang Yiming, Chen Mengyi, and Guo Meiqi, achieving three consecutive wins and advancing to the semifinals. There, she comfortably beat Yao Xinxin to reach the final. Shi Han advanced by beating Wang Jiayi, Wang Yuhan, and Yang Yidi in the group stage, and then swept the top seed Zheng Wushuang in the semifinals to reach the final.

In the first set, You Xiaodi continuously succeeded in her attacks, gaining a lead in the score. She gave Shi Han very few chances and took the set decisively, gaining the upper hand towards the title. However, in the second set, when the score was tight, Shi Han broke You Xiaodi’s serve and then sealed the set 6-4 in her service game, pushing the match into a deciding set and renewing her hopes for the championship.

In the final set, both players held their serves steadily, with the score remaining close. At a critical moment, You Xiaodi broke her opponent’s serve to take the lead. She then held firm under pressure and won the match 7-5, claiming her first women’s singles title at the China Tour Finals.

Although Cui Jie lost to Sun Fajing in the men’s singles final, he went on to win the men’s doubles title alongside Taiwan’s He Chengrui. Notably, this was the first time a Taiwan player claimed a title on the China Tour. Meanwhile, You Xiaodi continued her success by winning the women’s doubles final. That’s the tennis story for today; more to come tomorrow.(Source: Tennis Home Author: Yixin Jushi)
