KANNON GuanQun Tennis proudly supported the successful conclusion of the inaugural China University Alumni Tennis Open.

On December 14th, the inaugural China University Alumni Tennis Open wrapped up at the Henan Provincial Sports Venue Center (East District). Close to 500 participants from 91 universities across the country engaged in two days of competition, fully demonstrating the thriving development of alumni tennis and contributing fresh energy to the innovation of university sports culture.

The event was organized by Beijing Xueti International Sports Culture Communication Co., Ltd., hosted by the Henan Provincial Sports Venue Center, and co-sponsored by the Zhengzhou Sports Bureau, Zhengzhou Airport Economic Comprehensive Experimental Zone Education, Health and Sports Bureau, and Zhengzhou Zhengdong New District Education and Sports Bureau.

Centered around the core values of “Gratitude, Unity, Health, and Happiness,” this tournament is a professional, large-scale tennis event designed for Chinese universities (including Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan). It also serves as a “sports event plus” exchange platform, aiming to unite university alumni nationwide through tennis, stimulate the alumni economy, upgrade the sports industry, and contribute to building a Healthy China.

Participants in this competition included alumni and current faculty members of various educational levels, ranging in age from 30 to 70. To ensure fairness and broad participation, the competition was carefully structured to balance inclusiveness and professionalism: the mixed team event was divided into Group A and Group B, with Group A for general alumni and Group B allowing players with professional backgrounds; doubles events were segmented by age groups to provide suitable competitive platforms for alumni of all ages.

In addition to team and individual championship awards, the event specially introduced honors such as “Best Team,” “Sportsmanship Award,” and “Best Partnership” to recognize the friendship and sports spirit displayed on the court, vividly embodying the tournament’s founding principle of “making friends through tennis and lasting bonds.”
