On January 23, Beijing time, the wheelchair group of the 2025 Australian Open tennis championships started the women's singles and doubles semifinals. In the Women's Doubles semi-finals, Zhu Zhenzhen/Aimi Tanaka defeated top seeds Van Coote/Griffin 6-3, 6-3, while Li Xiaohui/Wang Ziying defeated second seeds Yui Kamiji/Shuck 7-5, 6-1 to reach the final.

There are a total of 8 places in the women's doubles of the Australian Open wheelchair group, and Zhu Zhenzhen partnered with Japanese ace Aimi Tanaka to participate in the competition, and advanced to the women's doubles final of the Australian Open and Grand Slam wheelchair group for the second time in history after two years. Li Xiaohui and Wang Ziying partnered, and the two became the second and third Chinese players after Zhu Zhenzhen to reach the Grand Slam wheelchair women's doubles final, and the first Chinese pair to reach the Grand Slam wheelchair women's doubles final. For the first time in history, Chinese wheelchair tennis won the women's doubles championship and runner-up in the Grand Slam wheelchair group, and also locked in the first Grand Slam wheelchair women's doubles championship in history.
In the wheelchair women's singles, Li Xiaohui and No. 3 seed Wang Ziying also made it to the semi-finals, but they lost to top seed Yui Kamichi and No. 2 seed Van Kut respectively in the semi-finals and missed out on advancing to the final.
