WTA Adelaide: Zhang Shuai/Siniakova Claim Their First Title of the New Season

In the final, they started strong in the first set, conceding only one break and taking it 6-1. The second set was more competitive, with the scoreline fluctuating until the 10th game, where the second seeds seized their first match point break to close out the set 6-4 and secure the championship.

Riding the momentum from their warm-up tournament victory, Zhang Shuai is set to compete at the 2026 Australian Open. She will participate in both singles and doubles; in singles, she faces the in-form local wildcard Preston in the first round, while in doubles she partners with Mertens as seeded contenders.
