Event preview

  1. The round of 16 matches will be completed this morning, with all 16 games finished. The top eight men’s and women’s singles players will be decided for the quarterfinals held tonight.
  2. Ten Chinese players are competing in today’s round of 16. Two male players, Chen Junsong and Chen Yuanyu, failed to advance past the group stage and have been eliminated. I personally believe nine of them are very likely to advance smoothly to the quarterfinals.
  3. However, the match between Chen Yi and Hayata Hina is hard to predict, essentially a 50-50 chance. Of course, I hope Chen Yi wins.

Friendly reminder: The Table Tennis Asian Cup quarterfinals start at 6 PM tonight. CCTV-5+, Yangshipin, and Migu Video will broadcast all eight quarterfinal matches live starting at 6 PM. Everyone is welcome to watch.
