In the latest Asian Table Tennis Cup update, eight players such as Sun Yingsha and Wang Chuqin moved forward from the Round of 16, while Xiang Peng and Wang Yidi were defeated and eliminated.
All Round of 16 matches have been completed with ten Chinese players participating; Wang Yidi and Xiang Peng were eliminated, and the remaining eight all reached the quarterfinals, as shown in the image below.
Post-match summary and reflections
First of all, congratulations to the eight Chinese team members who advanced to the quarterfinals, showcasing their strong dominance.
Wang Yidi’s loss is understandable since her opponent was Sun Yingsha. However, Xiang Peng’s defeat to Lin Zhaoheng is somewhat hard to accept.
The other eight players all performed excellently, meeting the expectations set before the tournament!
Looking forward to tonight’s quarterfinals, hoping more of our players can reach the semifinals.
