ATP Dubai Draw: Shang Juncheng Faces Medvedev Again, Zhang Zhizhen to Play Against Aliassime

On February 21st Beijing time, the ATP 500 Dubai tournament released the men's singles and doubles draws. Chinese players Zhang Zhizhen and Shang Juncheng entered the main draw using protected rankings. Shang's first-round opponent is the third seed Medvedev, whom he recently faced in the first round of this week's Doha event, losing in straight sets. Zhang will meet the top seed and current world No. 7 Aliassime, with whom he has played twice before, each winning once.

This tournament will take place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from February 23rd to 28th. Aliassime, Bublik, Medvedev, and Draper are the top four seeds. Defending champion Tsitsipas, Rublev, Menchik, and Hurkacz are also competing. Notably, this marks the first tour appearance for British No.1 Draper since the US Open last year; he ended his 2025 season early due to injury and made his comeback at the Davis Cup earlier this month.

Shang Juncheng will compete in both singles and doubles. His doubles partner is Kazakh star Bublik. In the first round, they face the team of He Chengrui and Jebens. Shang and Bublik had planned to team up at the Doha event but could not play due to Bublik’s withdrawal. They will make their doubles debut as a pair in Dubai.
