On February 21st Beijing time, the ATP500 Dubai final saw a sweeping victory as Alcaraz beat French player Fils 6-2, 6-1 to win the championship. Likewise, the WTA1000 Dubai final was smooth and effortless, with 4th seed American Pegula defeating 7th seed Svitolina 6-2, 6-4 in only 73 minutes to earn her fourth 1000-level singles crown. Pegula dominated across all statistical categories, boasting a 79% first serve win rate and showing strong control in critical points. Meanwhile, Svitolina, worn down by a grueling three-hour semifinal battle against Gauff, struggled to find a way to break through throughout the match.

Including this tournament, Pegula has reached at least the semifinals in seven consecutive events (2025 US Open, China Open, Wuhan Open, Year-End Championships, 2026 Brisbane, Australian Open, Dubai), earning her the nickname “Queen of Consistency” among fans.
