Alcaraz easily clinched the 2026 Qatar Open title.

After becoming the youngest player ever to complete the Career Grand Slam at the 2026 Australian Open, Alcaraz continued his convincing victory in Doha, despite making significant coaching changes at the end of 2025.

In the final against Fils, Alcaraz dominated the match with comprehensive offense and defense. Although Fils tried to trade shots from the baseline, he was powerless against the superior skill of his opponent. Alcaraz showed remarkable consistency on his serve, leaving Fils almost no chance to fight back.

The world No. 1 took less than an hour and allowed his opponent to win only 3 games in the final.

Arthur Fils was the surprising highlight of this tournament. The 21-year-old French player recently returned from a back injury that sidelined him for the latter half of 2025 but quickly regained his form. However, in the final, facing an in-form Alcaraz revealed the significant gap in their current levels.

With this victory, the 22-year-old Spaniard extended his winning streak to 12 matches. Alcaraz also increased his outdoor hard-court winning streak to 30 matches, including Grand Slam titles at the 2026 Australian Open and the 2025 US Open.

This title marks Alcaraz’s 9th ATP 500 trophy, tying him with former world No. 1 Andy Murray.

The Spanish player ranks fourth among those with the most ATP 500 titles since the system was introduced in 2009. The top three are Roger Federer (16 titles), Rafael Nadal (15), and Novak Djokovic (14).

Alcaraz has had a strong start to 2026, winning the Australian Open and Qatar Open. The Spaniard skipped the Mexican Open to focus on the upcoming Indian Wells and Miami Open tournaments.
