The 2026 WTA250 Austin draw is out, with Wang Xinyu as the sole Chinese player directly entering the singles main draw by ranking, seeded 3rd in the upper half. In the second round, they will meet the winners between top seeds Hunter/Townsend and the wildcard pair Stearns/Venus Williams. Since joining the WTA Tour in 2023, the WTA250 Austin event crowned Kostyuk as its first singles champion. Chinese player Yuan Yue has had notable success here, reaching the singles final against Wang Xiyu in 2023 and claiming her first career title. She also won the doubles championship in 2024. This year’s tournament runs from February 23 to March 1, offering total prize money of $283,347. The singles champion will earn 250 ranking points and $37,390 in prize money.
