WTA Indian Wells Qualifiers: Yuan Yue to Face Garf Again, Boulter Top-Seeded

On the morning of March 1, Beijing time, the women's singles qualifying draw for the 2026 WTA 1000 Indian Wells was announced. British player Katie Boulter, performing well lately, is seeded first. Her opening match is against Viktoriya Tomova, and she could meet the winner of the clash between 23rd seed Kamilla Rakhimova and Lucrezia Stefanini in the next round. The qualifying draw also includes entries such as Viktorija Golubic, Sun Lulu, and Anastasia Potapova.

Chinese player Yuan Yue gained direct entry into the draw based on her ranking. She was drawn to face fourth seed Danielle Collins in the first round. A potential second-round opponent awaits in the winner of the match between 24th seed Mayar Sherif and local wildcard recipient Jessica Pegula. Notably, Yuan Yue recently defeated Collins at the WTA 250 Austin tournament and will aim to carry last week's momentum forward to secure a spot in the main draw.

The WTA Indian Wells tournament will be held from March 4 to 15, with a total prize money of $9,415,725. The women's singles qualifiers commenced in the early hours of today, Beijing time, though Yuan Yue is not scheduled to play on the first day.
