The French Open will host a tribute ceremony for Nadal

The president of the French Tennis Federation (FFT), Gilles Moreton, said that Nadal will undergo a "special" ceremony at Roland Garros (French Open) and that Rafa could become the official "ambassador" of the tournament:

"There will definitely be some events for Rafael Nadal, it will be a real tribute and it will mean a lot. We take this very seriously. The Davis Cup tribute wasn't really the kind of tribute we should really pay to him.

At the beginning of December, Emily Mauresmo and I went to his house to talk to him about the ceremony we were going to have in his honor, and to talk to him about the future.

In a few moments, we'll give you a rough idea of how he'll be able to take on the role of ambassador with us. The two 'brands' Rafael Nadal and Roland Garros are one. So, yes, we're working on it with him. ”
