On February 26, 1982, a little girl named Li Na was born in Wuhan, Hubei Province, a name with hundreds of thousands of names in the country, destined to write a new history of Chinese tennis and even the whole of Asia in a few years.

Growing up in a family of sportsmen, Li Na actually learned badminton at the beginning, she started practicing badminton at the age of 5 and a half, and after practicing for two years, because she was better at shoulders but her wrists were not flexible, she switched to tennis at the advice of her coach at the time.

In 1996, at the age of 14, Li Na officially entered the Hubei provincial team, and the following year she accepted the guidance of coach Yu Liqiao and won one of the most important championships in her life - the national tennis finals.

In 1999, Li Na had become a professional tennis player, but at that time, the completely different development situation of tennis at home and abroad made Li Na feel frustrated, and she chose to retire in 2002 and entered Huazhong University of Science and Technology to study.

Two years later, Li Na made a comeback, and soon won the first WTA Tour women's singles title in Chinese tennis history in Guangzhou, and in 2009 she did so.

Li Na's achievements since then are needless to say, winning Asia's first Grand Slam singles title at the 2011 French Open, becoming the first Chinese player to reach the WTA year-end finals in 2013, reaching second in the world ranking (breaking the Asian record), and winning her second Grand Slam singles title at the 2014 Australian Open......

Li Na's record doesn't stop there, as she became the first Asian athlete to be inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2019, and her powerful two-handed backhand continues to impress to this day.

After retiring in 2014, Li Na has not stayed away from the career she once fought for, she has always been helping Chinese tennis, and her appearance is the most representative business card of Chinese tennis and even Chinese sports.

On the occasion of Li Na's 43rd birthday this year, the Grand Slam official also sent his own blessings, and the Australian Open wrote: "Na Nian Na Guanna Something On Li Na's birthday, look back at the final of China's first and only Australian Open singles champion. ”

The French Open wrote: "Fourteen years ago, Asia ushered in its first singles Grand Slam, and Roland Garros will always remember this Wuhan girl who made history with her blood".

Wimbledon wrote: "You don't have to arrive too quickly, you can walk alone and chic!" Happy 43rd birthday to Sister Na! ”

The U.S. Open wrote: "Be yourself who is not defined, and wish Li Na a happy birthday".

At the same time, there are many fans who expressed their birthday wishes to Li Na, although the records she has set are being rewritten little by little by latecomers, but even after many years, we can still remember that wonderful game, that scene is exclusive to Li Na's memory.(Source: Tennis House Author: Barbie)
