On March 12, local time, the men's singles quarterfinals of the ATP Indian Wells Masters were decided. On the men's side, second seed Alcaraz swept past Dimitrov 6-1, 6-1 in the night match to extend his record against the Bulgarian to 4-2, ending a two-game losing streak against Dimi and making it his 15th straight win streak at the tournament.
Alcaraz
Cerundolo
Alcaraz is three wins away from winning a third consecutive Indian Wells title, a feat achieved by only two men in history, Federer (2004-2006) and Novak Djokovic (2014-2016). The Spaniard's opponent in the quarter-finals was Argentine No. 1 Serundolo, who beat ninth seed De Minaur 7-5, 6-3 in the fourth round to reach the quarter-finals of Indian Wells for the first time in his career.
Draper
Sheldon
Great Britain's Draper needed just 79 minutes to defeat fourth seed and former champion Fritz 7-5, 6-4 to set his best record in the tournament and reach the quarterfinals of the ATP Masters for the third time in his career, where he faced another homegrown star Shelton in the quarter-finals. 11th seed Shelton beat compatriot Brandon Nakashima 7-6(6), 6-1, with the 22-year-old American becoming the youngest homegrown quarter-finalist at the Indian Wells Masters since Roddick in 2004.
